“I’m not just fine with the lifestyle.. I like it. It’s more me than settling down would be,” Stevie replied with confidence, giving Sienna a small, reassuring smile. Stevie hated it when their conversations took a serious turn, Sienna was always so much better at all of the serious talk and she was pretty much the only one who could get Stevie to be serious, if only for a moment. Stevie looked up and shrugged, running her fingertip around the edge of her glass. Looking around, she laughed a little to herself and looked back up at her best friend. The bar was really not the most appropriate place for a heartfelt conversation but Stevie guessed it was now or never, especially considering Sienna had literally no patience when it came to this sort of thing. Not that Stevie was complaining, it was a funny trait of her friend.

After a long silence, Stevie took a deep breath and braced herself for the emotional conversation that might have followed. For a while now, she didn’t really ‘do’ emotions unless it had to do with her family. Then again, she was still innocent Harlow with her family. They barely had a clue about the Stevie alter ego. “Y’know I love you, right?” she mumbled quietly, not really looking up for a while, keeping her eyes firmly on the glass in front of her — filling it up and taking many large gulps from it before continuing. “And.. I know I’m not.. that good friend-wise. Or anything wise. But.. yeah,” she stuttered, taking another gulp of vodka, this time from the bottle. “You can fill in the gaps. I’m done with this,” she muttered, rubbing her forehead. “I’ll be right back,” she said quietly, standing up quickly. Stevie pecked Sienna’s cheek and quickly rushed out of the door. As soon as she was outside, she leaned against the wall, taking in the fresh air before banging her fist against the wall. “Fuck..” she mumbled, not entirely sure what or who she was angry at.

Fill in the gaps? What gaps? What even was that supposed to mean? Before the blonde woman could question it, Stevie excused herself. Sienna simply nodded, as she watched the girl walk away. She originally thought her friend was just going to head to the restroom, but as she saw her direction turn and head towards the exit, her eyebrows scrunched in confusion. If Harlow planned on ditching her, she had another thing coming. Quickly pushing herself up from her seat, Sienna followed after the brunette and out into the mildly cold air.

Upon exiting, she was prepared to give the other a piece of her mind, but as she approached the girl and saw the emotion etched across her face, her previous demeanor softened. Why was she angry? Had Sienna did or said something wrong? Of course she was only joking about pressing the Daniel issue because she liked to see her best friend’s reactions. Yes, she wished that Harlow lived a different lifestyle and changed her ways, but it wasn’t that much of a bother. “Ste - Harlow.” She tried softly, afraid that the girl would end up taking her frustration out on her. Of course she knew Stevie wouldn’t hurt her, but she knew the girl had a way with words, and she was definitely not a fan of being the victim of them. “Look, stop running and avoiding things. Talk to me. Best friends, ‘member?”

“Friends who go on holidays and have sex constantly… cool. Also, does he know about the whole friendship thing? ‘Cause it’s kinda unfair to lead him on and stuff,” Stevie raised an eyebrow and then tried hard not to crack a smile at Sienna talking about her new Donald Duck toy; it was cute, in a Sienna-type way. Then Stevie couldn’t help but laugh when Sienna suddenly started to down her drink. “Woah, hold on there, cowboy. I thought you weren’t getting drunk?” she said with a smirk, glad that Sienna was relaxing a little bit.

Stevie’s mood instantly changed when Daniel became the subject of the conversation. He was someone that she wasn’t in the mood to talk about, especially when Sienna picked up on Stevie’s ways. “Shut up,” she spat, realizing that maybe that was a bit too harsh. Sienna was just telling the truth, after all, as much as Stevie hated to hear it. “I’m a slut. I know I am. I like being a slut, believe it or not,” she said with a smile on her face. To most people, it wasn’t something to be proud of and sure, in the future, she’d probably look back on it and think it was a horrible way of living but right now, it was how she liked to live her life. “What would make me settle down?” she repeated, thinking to herself. “Megan Fox, maybe,” Stevie said with a chuckle, realizing that Sienna was being serious. “Um, just.. someone who I liked a lot. I haven’t found that person yet,” she shrugged, now it was her turn to knock back the drink like it was just water. “But for now, young Sienna, I am perfectly fine with checking everyone out and possibly having sex with them. That way, you don’t get hurt,” she said cheerfully, clanking her class against Sienna’s. Stevie paused for a while, chewing on her lip as she chose her words carefully. “I know… you don’t like me, like this. Y’know, I really do.. ugh, doesn’t matter,” she said, chickening out as she gulped back the rest of her drink, refilling her glass straight afterwards.

It was a miracle that Sienna’s eyes didn’t fall out of her sockets, what with how often she had to roll them in Stevie’s presence. “Friends with benefits, duh. I’m sure you understand that term, right?” Raising an eyebrow at her friend, she leaned back, propping her arms up over the back of the chair as she observed the people constantly passing by them. Yeah, not many of them were lookers. Turning her attention back to the girl sat across from her, she added, “And for the record, I’m not leading him on. He knows that we’re not together, so butt out. Thanks.”

Sienna couldn’t help but scoff at the mention of Megan Fox. Of course the brunette wouldn’t have taken her question seriously. She should have expected it. “I know it’s none of my business, and it’s not really my place to say anything, but…y’know what. Never mind. If you’re fine with this lifestyle, guess there’s not really much I can say, huh?” It was pointless to try to convince Stevie otherwise, anyhow. Besides, they were best friends. Sienna figured she should just stop nagging, and be supportive, if anything. Even if she didn’t agree with the shorter girl’s choices. And maybe, just maybe, Stevie would find that person sooner rather than later, if she was lucky. “No, it matters. What were you going to say?”

“I’m just sayin’.. you weren’t that keen on him when you left. Ugh, you’re too relationship-y,” she said with a smile. Stevie could barely insult Sienna now without cracking a smile, it’s a weird effect her best friend had on her. “Supportive, happy and… ew, I think I’m gonna throw up,” she said, pretending to heave. The relationship thing was something she didn’t joke about, she hated the idea of being in one and didn’t really understand them. ‘Old people’ relationships, as she called them, were cute — such as her mom and dad’s, but at this age, she couldn’t stand them. “A big Donald Duck? Wow.. you’re really becoming soft, aren’t you?” she said, taking another swig of the bottle, scrunching up her face at the taste. Stevie rolled her eyes yet again when Sienna became uptight about her staring, it was a habit. Stevie was single and constantly looking out for someone to be with for the night, even if that made her cheap. “They like it when I stare,” she mumbled, handing the bottle to Sienna.

Suddenly, Stevie let out a loud roar of laughter, clapping her hands together as she went into a hysterical laugh. “W-wait… you think he’s not whipped? O-kay, that’s like saying I’m a virgin,” she said, laughing even harder than before. Sure, she hadn’t actually met Ryan in person but from what she had been told, he sounded like he was 100% whipped for her friend. “He just… sounds super whipped. It’s okay though, Dan’s whipped and we’re not even dating,” she shrugged it off like it was a casual thing to talk about but she knew deep down that Sienna didn’t like the way Stevie treated Daniel. Before her friend could say anything, Stevie stole the bottle back from her and took another couple of large mouthfuls, trying to ignore the painful sting that hit her throat.

Stevie was right. Sienna wasn’t too fond of getting that close to Ryan before she left, but that had all changed as of recently. At first, she was purposely trying not to get into anything too serious, but now she figured it wouldn’t hurt to try something new. Still, she didn’t want to make things official or have labels or whatever, she just wanted something fun. Something different. Something that didn’t allow her to get too attached, and Ryan was that for her. “Shut up. We’re not even in a relationship. Must I re-inform you? We’re just friends so don’t be so dramatic, gosh.” Sienna really didn’t get the big deal with Harlow and relationships. She understood not wanting to be in them, but god, the girl was so against them and she had barely even experienced a real, true relationship. “I’m not soft! But, my Donald Duck is, yes.” She smiled, before knocking back her drink. Okay, so maybe the three drink limit was a bad idea afterall.

Re-filling her glass, Sienna sipped it slowly, trying to make it last. It was her last drink after all. “Don’t compare your nasty ways to him. He’s not whipped, he’s just a nice guy. Like Daniel. But, you wouldn’t know because you won’t choose to stop slutting it up to give him a chance.” She knew she was probably annoying the shorter girl with her constant lectures about settling down and Daniel and all the other stuff that Stevie would typically rename “bullshit”, but she didn’t care. “Honestly, what would make you settle down?”

stevie-:

Stevie loved watching Sienna get like this, all.. confused and kind of angry. It seemed like she was always like that around Stevie. She knew that she wound Sienna up to no end, she knew that she was hard to put up with. And she’d never admit it but she was pretty grateful for the girl sticking by her through everything, even though they’d had their ups and downs. “Everything is… what did you get up to? Do you actually like him? What did you see on your little.. adventures?” she rambled, shrugging her shoulders as she went to bring the bottle to her lips again, only to have Sienna pull it away from her. “Hey! You never specified what drink or how big it had to be. You just said drinks,” she snapped back just as bitterly as she went next to Sienna, grabbing it back from her.

For a while, she just held the bottle, not bothering to drink from it. Sometimes she felt like Sienna didn’t know her at all. Of course, Stevie found a way around everything. Finally, she took a big swig from the bottle and then put it close to her, making sure Sienna didn’t take it from her. “Calm down, I won’t drink all of it and I won’t drink it too fast… I promise,” Stevie smiled, the sweet, promising Stevie only lasting for a moment as she checked out a girl who walked past. “Anyway.. we were talking about your little holiday. Ryan’s your bitch, Si. You’ve got him whipped. Do you even like him?” she asked bluntly with a kinked eyebrow, leaning forward so she could listen closely.

“Yes, I like him. Stop assuming I don’t.” Sienna stated, pointing a finger at the other girl. She did like Ryan, and she didn’t know why Stevie chose to believe otherwise. She wasn’t that heartless to just lead someone on. He was nice, and supportive and he made her happy, what more could she ask for? “I like him, okay?” She confirmed before diving into her storytelling. “In Vegas, we devoted our first night to casino night. I lost a good amount at poker, because someone refused to teach me the rules, but he gave it right back afterwards.” She started, smiling somewhat at the memory. “We just toured the city and all that, went to a few shows that were around, then in Cali we decided to go to Disneyland since I never went as a kid. He won me a big stuffed Donald Duck. We went to Hollywood and Beverly Hills. He took me to the Walk of Fame and there was this guy there making replicas. Ryan bought me one that said my name. It was sweet.”

Finally bringing herself back from her thoughts, she looked up at her friend as she grabbed the bottle. She knew there was no use in fighting with her, so instead, she let the brunette have her way. Finishing off her first drink, she placed the now empty cup in front of Harlow, gesturing towards the bottle. “Fine, but share, and stop staring!” Getting more comfortable in her chair, Sienna thought back to the past few weeks, prepared to pick up where her thought trail left off. “Wait, shut up. He’s not my bitch, and he’s not whipped. How would you know anyways? You don’t even know him, and you probably never will.”
